The Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends initiative is aimed at changing people’s perceptions of dementia and increasing awareness of how this conditions impacts those living with dementia and their loved ones.

In Aid of Macmillan
Home Support Services is piloting the Macmillan Care and Compassion Development Programme for Health and Social Care Support Workers in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and Skills for Care. Since October 2014, Macmillan Cancer Support has been developing and testing an innovative development programme with Nursing staff and now Home Support Services are piloting this for the Social Care Sector in the East Midlands.
